Full job description

Under general supervision, performs essential technical financial accounting duties, and the review and analysis of financial transactions and the external or internal reporting of financial information in the Trust Accounting section as part of Fiscal Management. Retrieving the outstanding Check Register from SCEIS for review and analysis, assist with Unclaimed Process, process Victim payouts, account updates and payment history. Filing and records retention.A high school diploma and entry-level experience in accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for required work experience. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related courses. Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles and practices. Knowledge of South Carolina tax laws, rules and regulations. Ability to perform mathematical concepts. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations. Ability to perform analysis of financial records. Experience working with SCEIS (South Carolina Enterprise Information System). Please note: This is an entirely on-site, in-office position.
