*This is a full time (80 hours per two week pay period)**, *benefited position with a 8-hour varied shifts, including every ohter weekend at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. They enjoy a practice environment that offers state-of-the-art technology and innovative tools in a collaborative and supportive workplace. The Pharmacy Technician will join the tight-knit team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and will have ample opportunity to experience all aspects of inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, repackaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding. The Pharmacy Technician will also have the opportunity to train for tech-check-tech operations and cross-train in other specialized roles, including medication history, buyer, medication safety and systems analyst.
Experience/Specialized Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification/Registration:
- California Board of Pharmacy Certification
Preferred Education/Course(s)/Training:
- 1 year inpatient experience preferred or hospital externship
