Master Scheduler — Biotech/Pharma

Schedule - Monday to Friday - Working hours between 8 AM and 6 PM

Pay Rate - $65/hour

Position Overview

The Master Scheduler will own the site startup Master Integrated Schedule and coordinate schedule inputs across key workstreams, including technology transfer, process validation, manufacturing, site engineering, and quality startup. The role will maintain the master schedule in Monday.com during the transition from Smartsheet, integrate schedule data from supporting tools, and provide clear visibility into milestones, dependencies, capacity constraints, and execution risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Master Integrated Schedule: Develop, maintain, and optimize the site startup master schedule in Monday.com, ensuring schedules and milestones are current, accurate, and aligned across workstreams.

  • Support the scheduling-system transition: Maintain schedule continuity as the organization transitions from Smartsheet to Monday.com, coordinating schedule updates and supporting consistent data and processes.

  • Integrate workstream schedules: Gather and reconcile schedule inputs from technology transfer, process validation, manufacturing, site engineering, and quality startup teams. Identify dependencies, milestone logic, and critical-path relationships across workstreams.

  • Manage schedule data exchange: Use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to import and export schedule data and support integration with the master schedule.

  • Analyze schedule performance and risk: Conduct regular critical-path reviews, track schedule variances, prepare look-ahead analyses, and flag emerging risks and dependencies that may affect key milestones.

  • Support capacity planning: Model labor, facility, and equipment constraints to inform batch execution, validation campaigns, and startup readiness.

  • Coordinate audit and CQV schedules: Integrate schedules for Health Authority inspections, internal quality audits, and commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities.

  • Communicate schedule status: Provide stakeholders with timely updates on progress, milestone changes, schedule risks, and required actions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • At least 8 years of scheduling experience, including large-scale commercial biotech or pharmaceutical site activation projects with capital programs of $300 million or more.

  • Required proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, including schedule data import and export.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Monday.com; customized training will be provided.

  • Experience maintaining or transitioning project schedules in Smartsheet is beneficial.

  • Strong understanding of cGMP facility startup, technology transfer timelines, process validation, and critical path method (CPM) analysis.

  • Experience coordinating schedules across cross-functional workstreams in a complex biotech or pharmaceutical environment.

  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Primavera certification preferred.
