DaVita SNF Dialysis (DSD) is launching a brand-new on-site dialysis den suite at Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center in Salem, VA! We are seeking a compassionate, autonomous Registered Nurse who is ready to learn dialysis through our comprehensive, paid clinical training program. In this role, you will lead comprehensive hemodialysis treatments inside an intimate 6-chair suite located right inside the skilled nursing facility—providing life-sustaining care to residents without hospital transport or large clinic chaos.

Comprehensive Paid Training Program (Rise): No dialysis experience required! You will receive 10–12 weeks of fully paid, one-on-one preceptorship and clinical classroom training. Initial hands-on training is anchored alongside our experienced clinical preceptor team at our nearby Highland Ridge den / regional training clinic before you transition into leading our Salem den.

What You’ll Do: Deliver specialized, 1-on-1 hemodialysis care to End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) residents within an intimate 6-chair den setting. Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-dialysis assessments, monitor vital signs and fluid removal targets, and manage vascular access (AV fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheters). Operate and troubleshoot modern dialysis machines and portable reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment systems. Direct and partner closely with your on-site Patient Care Technician (PCT) teammate to ensure safe, seamless treatment floor flow. Collaborate with facility nephrologists, attending physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver holistic patient outcomes.

Why Join DaVita SNF Dialysis in Salem? Predictable daytime schedule with consistent hours and NO SUNDAY treatments. $10,000 Retention Bonus! Intimate 6-chair den environment offering true patient continuity. Clear career growth through DaVita Clinical Ladders, leadership pathways, and education tuition assistance. Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and generous PTO.

Qualifications & Requirements: Current, active, unrestricted Virginia or Multi-State Compact RN license. Minimum 1+ years of hospital or acute clinical nursing experience (ICU, CCU, Telemetry, ER, Med-Surg, Stepdown, or Infusion). Current BLS / CPR certification. Strong critical thinking, assessment instincts, and eagerness to master hemodialysis.

What We Offer:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match
  • Paid time off and PTO cash-out
  • Mental health and family support (EAP, Headspace, parental leave, etc.)
  • Paid training and ongoing professional development
