Responsibilities: - Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard in every customer interaction: Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful and Sell, Fashion Authority, Follow-up. - Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools. - Offer honest, confident style and fit feedback that earns trust and drives loyalty. - Set and achieve personal sales goals, and stay accountable to results. - Keep the department customer-ready, including stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, merchandise recovery, and participation in bi-annual inventory count. - Stay current on product knowledge and trends to serve as a trusted style resource. - Show up for your team every shift, communicate openly, contribute to a professional team environment, and pitch in to help the department stay productive. - Commit to a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods. - Follow Up: Build lasting relationships to drive predictable business by using the 2-2-2 Method (follow up 2 days, 2 weeks, and 2 months after a purchase), Nordy Club enrollment, and - Personal Book (your tool for tracking customers so outreach feels personal). **Qualifications: ** - 18 years age minimum required due to the nature of the job. - A genuine passion for fashion, styling, and customer experience. - A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with a track record of hitting targets. - Communication and relationship-building skills with a wide range of customers. - A team-first mindset, looking for ways to help your teammates and department succeed. - Comfort with technology and digital selling tools. - Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. - Flexibility to work varied hours based on business needs. Physical Requirements: - Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. - Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. - Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head. - Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. - Schedule: Hours vary by week based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holiday or event shifts. This role may also require occasional flexibility to support other departments. Pay and Commission: The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state-specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Nordstrom, the commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. - Hourly Pay: $15.25 - $15.25 - Apparel, Shoes, and Accessories: Sales commissions typically range from 3% to 14.5%. - Beauty and Men's Fragrance: Sales commissions typically are 3%.
