Project Manager III is responsible for leading and executing complex projects that have significant impact on organizational goals. This role involves planning and managing multiple high-priority projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring project success through effective stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will drive strategic initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Focuses on strategic project outcomes and long-term goals.
Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Scope and Complexity: Lead complex projects with significant organizational impact, involving multiple high-priority tasks and cross-functional teams.

Decision Making: Exercise significant decision-making authority in project planning, execution, and resource management, with a focus on strategic outcomes.

Stakeholder Interaction and Communication: Engage with senior leadership and external partners to align project objectives with organizational goals and drive success.

Project Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Quality Improvement: Implement best practices in quality assurance, developing strategies to optimize processes and continuous improvement.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives to detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term goals.

Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide project teams, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive experience in project management with a proven track record of success.

Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on strategic thinking and innovation.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Proficiency in advanced project management tools and methodologies.

Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive change.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare, or a related field required
Minimum Experience:
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility of which at least four (4) years must be in project management OR comparable roles
Certification:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No supervisory responsibilities.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$104,104.00 - $111,315.00
