Emergency nurses are at the forefront of patient care, providing rapid assessment, critical thinking, and lifesaving interventions for patients of all ages and conditions. What You'll Do - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department - Provide care for patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergencies - Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols - Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status - Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary teams - Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record - Support a culture of patient safety, quality care, and teamwork What We're Looking For - Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license - BLS certification required - ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred (or willingness to obtain) - Previous emergency nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply - Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills - Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations - Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care Why Join Labette Health?\ As a nationally recognized healthcare system and Level III Trauma Center serving Southeast Kansas, Labette Health provides emergency care to patients across our region.
