About this Role - Project Engineer II We are looking for a talented Project Engineer II who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for providing technical support to Substation Project Managers and field supervision across our high voltage substation portfolio, spanning 69kV through 345kV substation projects. This role bridges engineering and construction - translating design documents into executable field plans, coordinating outage and construction sequencing with utility clients, and driving the technical development of the overall substation construction plan. This is a high-visibility position for an early-career engineer or project professional looking to move from design or coordination work into hands-on construction planning. What You'll Do Outage & Sequence Planning -Develop outage, switching, construction and energization sequencing plans in coordination with Project Managers, field supervision, and utility system operations -Serve as a technical point of contact with client operations groups for clearance requests, switching orders, and outage window negotiation -Identify sequencing constraints and interdependencies early; recommend alternatives that reduce outage duration and risk -Track outage commitments and communicate schedule impacts to the project team Technical Scope & Drawing Review -Review technical scope documents, specifications, and construction drawing packages - one-lines, three-lines, plan and section, grounding, conduit and raceway, and protection & control schematics and wiring diagrams -Identify constructability issues, scope gaps, drawing conflicts, and long-lead equipment risks prior to mobilization -Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications with the engineer of...
