Make a Lasting Impact in Pediatric Therapy
Our Children's Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate and creative Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a meaningful opportunity to help children reach their fullest potential through personalized, play-based, and evidence-informed therapy. We're looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting children and their families on their developmental journey.
Responsibilities:

Maintains written documentation for all occupational therapy services rendered, including documentation of initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summary consistent with department standards.

Communicates patient status to the referring physician and other health care team members.

Completes necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient.

Schedules patients to achieve and maintain a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established for the facility by the organization while ensuring delivery of quality patient care.

Provides verbal and/or written home instructions to patients and/or family members when applicable.

Performs occupational therapy assessment, reassessment, and treatment for pediatric patients referred by a physician to the clinic.

Develops a plan of care including goals and treatment plans in accordance with physician referral, nature of injury/illness and results of occupational therapy assessment.

Modifies or adjusts plan of care based on patient's response to treatment and/or changes in patient's status.

Rotates through selected treatment areas when necessary to facilitate organizational needs.
Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year experience working as a Pediatric OT.
Schedule/Travel: Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:30AM-7PM. 8 or 10 hour shifts may be needed. This position may be on call/scheduled in advance to cover medical leaves and vacations. Travel may be required to both of our Children's Therapy Centers - McMurray, PA (Waterdam Plaza) and Washington, PA (North Avenue).

Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Prefer previous pediatric experience including student fieldwork.

Must possess knowledge of normal human growth and development over the lifespan.

Must be skilled in planning/organization, follow up/control, delegation, problem solving, self-development orientation, organizational behaviors/competencies, and stress tolerance. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Occupational Therapist (OT)

Act 31, 33, 34, & 73
