Student Outreach Specialist

Location: Provo, UT

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday–Friday; 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Pay/Salary: $38,000–$42,000

Summary

MTECH Student Outreach Specialists are members of the Admissions team who represent the college and connect prospective students, schools, and community partners with MTECH’s programs and opportunities. Through campus tours, relationships with high school counselors, presentations to students and parents, and other face-to-face interactions, they help prospective students explore their options and navigate the admissions process.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Student Outreach Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct campus tours and deliver presentations about MTECH’s programs and admissions process.

• Build and maintain relationships with school counselors, educators, adult education providers, and community partners through regular outreach and communication.

• Travel regularly to MTECH campuses, schools, and community locations. Reliable transportation and availability for regular evening outreach activities are required.

• Plan and support outreach events, information sessions, school visits, and career fairs.

• Help prospective students explore programs and navigate the admissions process, working with Admissions Advisors and campus partners to support their next steps.

• Stay informed about program offerings, admissions requirements, and registration information.

• Record outreach activities and feedback to guide future outreach efforts and support Admissions team goals.

What We're Looking For:

• Education Requirements: Associate Degree in technical sales, business marketing, communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

• Experience: At least one year of experience in outreach, education, student support, customer service, sales marketing, community engagement, or a related area. Relevant experience may include employment, internships, or substantial volunteer responsibilities.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

• Communication & Organizational Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Presentation Skills: Public speaking, including the ability to engage large groups during tours and events.

• Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred Qualifications: Spanish-speaking
