This is a 1st shift position working Monday to Thursday from 5:10am to 3:40pm at the 4th Street location. The hourly rate of pay is $20.48.

The Dot Mount Packer inspects and packs finished tile into boxes for shipment.

Major Functions and Scope:

Visually inspect tile for quality defects according to control plan specifications and replaces defective tile as necessary.

Packs tile into boxes.

Places correct bar code labels on boxes.

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies:

  • Good oral and written communications skills.

  • Good record keeping skills.

  • Good listening skills.

  • Accurate measurement capability.

  • Ability to read and understand basic English.

  • Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.

  • Ability to differentiate between colors.

  • Ability to inspect high volume of tile sheets in a fast-pace environment.
