Full job description
Description We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support technical operations and engineering activities at our facility in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. This position partners with engineering, testing, technical services, and customer-facing teams to coordinate projects, resolve technical issues, and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately. The role combines hands-on project support, analytical problem-solving, and formal reporting in a fast-paced technical environment.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers, sales teams, powertrain groups, plant personnel, and internal departments to address matters connected to Technical Center activities.

Coordinate communication across cross-functional teams to ensure technical information is shared clearly and project objectives remain aligned.

Interpret customer needs alongside internal testing and development standards, and create or refine procedures when new methods are needed.

Organize and execute investigations, testing assignments, and technical projects within the Technical Center while supporting engine build activities as required.

Oversee or carry out specialized testing tasks and document outcomes through structured reports, summaries, and data-driven conclusions.

Analyze technical data and present findings to stakeholders to support engineering decisions and project reviews.

Contribute to cost improvement efforts by identifying practical opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary expense.

Maintain databases, records, and general administrative documentation that support engineering and testing operations.

Follow all safety requirements, established procedures, and company standards while promoting a safe working environment for others nearby. Requirements • Experience in systems engineering, technical center operations, or a related engineering environment.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Citrix technologies, and Microsoft Exchange.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and support technical decision-making.

Background in automotive engineering, computer engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.

Ability to manage multiple assignments involving testing, reporting, presentations, and project coordination.

Effective communication skills for working with customers, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
