Summary
About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Honolulu Hawaii.
Duties
- Serve as the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Department of Defense (DoD)/ Veterans Affairs (VA) Liaison, responsible for the financial oversight and administration of special projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of guidance, procedures, and direction for planning, organizing, developing, and implementing policy to ensure an efficient and effective program.
- Develop and write guidance on techniques for management and methods improvements to support resource sharing.
- Provide direction, coordination, advice, and assistance to clinical and administrative staff to achieve successful program.
- Authorize, negotiate, and pursue agreements that carry legal implications and requirements under the Department of Defense (DoD) / Veterans Affairs (VA) sharing program.
- Research and develop plan to resolve reimbursement, claim denial, and authorization process issues.
- Serve as the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) central Point of Contact for sharing information, providing executive updates, and participating in official site visits/office calls for MTF/VA related issues/events.
- Serve as Military Treatment Facility (MTF)’s lead facilitator for the Joint Governance Structure composed of the Joint Executive Management Team and Joint Working Groups.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, which includes coordinating healthcare program operations, conducting complex cost and manpower efficiency studies, and negotiating finalized inter-agency agreements to allocate operational resources in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP). To receive selection priority, you must: (1) meet ICTAP eligibility criteria (2) be rated well-qualified for the position and; (3) submit the appropriate documentation to support your ICTAP eligibility. To be considered well-qualified and receive selection priority applicants must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a score of 90 or above. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
