Are you interested in providing critical intervention to families in crisis? If so, Devereux might have the right opportunity for you! We are looking to hire a passionate individual to join our team as a Lead Clinician.

Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and families. Based out of Orlando, FL, this position covers Orange county, with our Neighborhood Centers for Families and is responsible for:

  • Providing therapy to children and families; this is a community based program and the position will be housed at a Community Center.

  • NCF is a preventative outpatient-level program, not intensive crisis services. They serve individuals of all ages, families, and couples.

  • Consulting with and training parents on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs.

  • Working with treatment team members and case managers; on-call telephone support for crisis and emergency situations on a rotating basis.

  • carry a reduced caseload along with supervisory and administrative duties.

  • screen, process, and assign referrals for therapy and case management services.

  • Provide weekly supervision and consultation to team members.

  • Train new hires and interns

  • Participate in NCF community events and marketing of services.

  • Serve as point of contact for partner agencies throughout the community.

Location: Orange County, FL (Taft NCF)

Schedule: Full-Time Hours are typically 8am-6pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: Starts at $57,000/yr. Subject to increase based on relevant experience and education.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field required

  • Two years' experience working directly with children and families. Preferred experience with children who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and are committed and are emotionally disturbed Preferred

  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida Required.

  • Bilingual (English-Spanish speaking) Preferred

Schedule:

  • Must be able to complete a three day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day.

  • Two years' experience working directly with children, adolescents and families OR related experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician

  • Bilingual: English-Spanish or English-Creole (Preferred but not required)

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Must be willing to meet clients in community setting as this position is based out of a Community Center.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
