Full job description

About Pulley Pulley helps the country’s top architects, builders, and retailers speed up every project in their portfolio. With AI-powered permitting intelligence and expert guidance, we eliminate costly delays and bring predictability across the full lifecycle of commercial projects. Today, permitting is the slowest, most uncertain part of building, spread across 19,000+ jurisdictions with different rules, timelines, and surprises. Pulley gives project teams the clarity and predictability they need to move from planning to opening without delays. We support rollout programs for brands like J.Crew, Solidcore, and Hibbett Sports, as well as major data center buildouts, EV charging networks, and other commercial projects. Our platform dramatically reduces approval timelines, improves forecasting accuracy, and removes thousands of hours of manual work from design and construction teams. Founded in 2021, Pulley combines deep permitting expertise with purpose-built AI from people who have created products used by millions. We’re backed by CRV, Susa Ventures, Fifth Wall, and leaders from Plaid, Segment, ServiceTitan, and Procore.

What You'll Do You're joining our early team of AEs, and there's more than enough pipeline to go around. Nobody here is fighting over scraps: our reps are winning big and earning well. This year alone we closed multiple seven-figure deals, and there's more to win. Permitting is the bottleneck between our customers and an open door, and every day a location sits unopened is revenue left on the table. We remove that bottleneck, and the ROI is fast and measurable. For many customers, Pulley is the first real solution to a decades-old problem, and that kind of opportunity doesn't come around often. In this role you will:

  • Run the whole deal. You'll build your own pipeline with a dedicated SDR booking meetings for you (we run a 1:1 ratio). You own discovery, demos, pilots, proposals, negotiations, and expansions.

  • Sell to powerful, nationwide customers. VPs of Construction, Heads of Real Estate, and architecture firms managing portfolios for dozens of brands are buying Pulley today. These are multithreaded enterprise deals, and most customers prove ROI under six months, which opens the door to expansion. Budget already exists in every construction project, so you're never asking a buyer to invent a new line item. You'll build relationships with Fortune 500 companies and household-name brands growing their footprint across the US.

  • Hit your number, with upside. Every ramped rep hit quota last year. Commission is uncapped and paid monthly.

  • Shape how we sell. You'll have a direct line to Pulley's founders and our VP of Sales, plus a relationship-driven sales manager who coaches you every week, gives direct feedback, and cares about you as a person, not just a number. Our playbook is still being written by the people running it, so your ideas will shape how the whole team sells.

Who you are

  • 4+ years as an Account Executive, enterprise or mid-market, with at least one closed deal worth over $100k.

  • A proven top performer. You're consistently at the top of your team's leaderboard.

  • Curious, coachable, resourceful, and feedback-driven. Most of our team came from B2B SaaS startups, and few had exposure to our industry. You've built strong sales instincts in your career, and you'd rather sell something valuable in a new industry than coast in a familiar one.

  • Kind, but not soft. We're a low-ego team that enjoys each other's company, cheers on each other's wins, and loves collaborating.

  • Excited to work at an early-stage startup. We're hybrid, in office Monday and Wednesday with our whole sales team and the rest of our NYC office in FiDi.

Compensation $300k+ OTE, 50/50 split, with uncapped commission paid monthly. Equity is also part of our compensation plan.
