ServiceNow IT Asset Data Analyst

Position Description

We are seeking a ServiceNow IT Asset Data Analyst to join our client. This person will be responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and reliable asset data in ServiceNow, supporting both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). This role monitors vendor data and integrations, audits asset records, investigates discrepancies, and supports asset lifecycle processes. The analyst works closely with vendors, asset owners, and internal teams to maintain a trusted source of asset information.

This position can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Asset Data Management and Governance

. Maintain accurate and complete asset records in ServiceNow.

. Monitor vendor data feeds, integrations, and file transfers to confirm successful and timely data delivery.

. Investigate and resolve data quality issues, including missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.

. Support asset lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, returns, and retirements.

Audits and Data Stewardship

. Conduct recurring audits to verify asset record accuracy and completeness.

. Perform asset tag audits and data cleanup activities.

. Identify patterns in data discrepancies and investigate their root causes.

Vendor Data Oversight

. Review vendor provided inventory and asset data for alignment with established standards.

. Work with vendors to address data mapping, integration, and reporting issues.

. Track data transmission failures and coordinate timely resolution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

. Five or more years of relevant experience.

. Experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) or a comparable asset management platform.

. Strong analytical and data management skills.

. Experience auditing, validating, and cleansing large datasets.

. Advanced Excel skills.

. Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.

. Ability to collaborate with vendors and cross functional teams to resolve data issues.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Desired qualifications

. Experience with inventory and asset lifecycle management processes.

. Knowledge of data integrations, APIs, or vendor data feeds.

. Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions.

. Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $52,900.00 $98,100.00.
