Full job description
Compensation: $25--$30/hour based on experience and capabilities, with opportunities for higher-paid snow plow route work for qualified employees. > Longview Mountain Services is hiring Seasonal Property Services Technicians to support winter snow operations and residential property-service projects throughout Eagle County. > This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving practical problems, and taking ownership of their work. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in construction, landscaping, property maintenance, handyman work, forestry, wildfire mitigation, wildland fire, or similar field work. > Work may include both scheduled daytime property-service projects and weather-dependent snow operations. During snow events, technicians may support shoveling, property access, equipment preparation, commercial snow service, and other field needs. > Responsibilities include: - Supporting residential and commercial snow-removal operations - Shoveling and clearing areas that cannot be reached by plow vehicles - Assisting snow plow operators as needed - Inspecting, preparing, cleaning, and organizing vehicles, tools, and equipment - Performing basic property-maintenance and installation work - Loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing materials - Documenting completed work with photos and basic job notes - Identifying property, equipment, and safety issues and communicating them clearly - Maintaining clean, safe, and professional worksites > Qualifications: - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Dependable and able to work independently - Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions - Able to perform physically demanding work - Comfortable using basic hand and power tools - Strong attention to detail and respect for customer property - Good judgment and willingness to learn > Experience in construction, landscaping, property maintenance, handyman work, forestry, wildfire mitigation, wildland fire, or similar field work is strongly preferred. > Growth opportunity: > Technicians who demonstrate strong winter-driving ability, reliability, and good judgment may be trained and qualified to operate company snowplow vehicles. > Qualified employees assigned their own residential plow routes may be eligible for the company's higher plow-operator compensation structure, currently $160 per completed standard residential route. > Strong performers may also have opportunities for additional property-service and wildfire-mitigation work based on skills, performance, and company needs. > This is a good fit for someone looking for flexible seasonal work, additional income, and the opportunity to build practical field skills while taking on greater responsibility over time. One change I'd consider before posting: for this role, I'd probably use 3 openings instead of 2 if you can tolerate the applicant volume. This is the broader funnel, and you can use it to find both snow support and people who may be useful for Longview's non-snow work.
