Full job description
Description
Are you excited about shaping the technology that powers procurement across Amazon? Global Corporate Procurement (GCP) Technology and Product builds and manages the tech portfolio that supports Amazon's global procurement operations. The team is launching a new buying experience that will roll out across all of Amazon over the coming years, along with a central supplier data repository and a new sourcing platform.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Technical to coordinate, document, design, and implement products that improve how Amazon teams buy and source goods and services. In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for key procurement capabilities, working closely with software engineers, designers, scientists, and business stakeholders to ship products that make a real difference for internal customers. If you are a collaborative, curious product leader who thrives at the intersection of technology and business strategy, we would love to hear from you.
Key job responsibilities
-
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for procurement technology products, translating business and customer needs into clear requirements and prioritized backlogs.
-
Coordinate across engineering, design, science, and business teams to design, document, and deliver product capabilities on time and at a high quality bar.
-
Analyze usage data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions, define success metrics, and measure impact after launch.
-
Evaluate technical proposals and participate in architecture reviews, probing scalability, performance trade-offs, and long-term system health.
-
Identify opportunities to integrate generative AI and automation into procurement workflows, accelerating development cycles and unlocking new value for customers.
A day in the life
You will start many mornings reviewing product metrics and customer feedback before joining collaborative working sessions with engineers and designers to refine upcoming features. Much of your time is spent in cross-functional discussions — aligning priorities with business partners, reviewing technical designs with engineering, and iterating on prototypes with UX. Between meetings, you draft product requirements, write strategy documents, and assess data to guide your next set of decisions. The pace is proactive and roadmap-driven, with plenty of room to shape what comes next.
About the team
The GCP Technology and Product team builds the tools and platforms that support procurement across Amazon. Our mission is to make buying and sourcing simpler, faster, and more transparent for every team that relies on procurement services. We are a collaborative group of product managers, engineers, and designers who work together to solve complex problems at global scale. If you want to build products that thousands of Amazonians depend on and help shape the future of procurement technology, this is the team for you.
