Full job description

Description

SAIC is seeking a Software Teste r to support the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate team located onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Note: This is a 100% remote position

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and supporting database components

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing following Agile software development principles

  • Document test results, track defects, and verify resolution through collaboration with developers

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement

  • Validate integration with Microsoft SQL databases and verify data integrity across systems

  • Support test automation initiatives where applicable

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • BS degree and two (2) years of practical experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree

Required Skills:

  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and database-driven systems

  • Familiarity with Agile software development processes

  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and defect tracking processes

  • Experience with test management or defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL (ability to query databases for validation)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Desire to continuously improve testing practices and technical skill sets

Required Clearance:

  • Active SECRET Security Clearance

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
