  • Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues and coordinate action across internal teams.

  • Ability to learn and apply new financial systems, tools, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle financial applications or other enterprise project financial management systems.

How You Work

You take ownership, anticipate issues, and act without waiting for detailed direction. You communicate concerns and recommendations confidently, build productive internal relationships, and recognize when collaboration or escalation is needed. You look for ways to improve established processes while maintaining accuracy and appropriate controls, and you help colleagues succeed by sharing your knowledge.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include supporting large, complex client engagements with significant contractual and reporting requirements, supporting consulting practices, or owning recurring operational processes. You will independently manage your assigned work, exercise sound judgment, and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Success requires strong financial operations experience, analytical skills, clear communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will also share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and use technology—including AI tools—to improve how work gets done.

Key Responsibilities

Project Setup and Contract Administration

  • Review contractual agreements and partner with project managers to establish project structures that support engagement requirements and align with Oracle policies.

  • Create and maintain project records, task structures, funding, billing rates, and classifications in project financial management systems.

  • Validate labor and expense funding against contractual requirements, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with the appropriate teams.

  • Identify special invoicing requirements and coordinate the setup and processes needed to support accurate, timely billing.

  • Track project setup and funding requests, resolve outstanding questions, and communicate status and dependencies.

Project Execution and Financial Operations

  • Serve as a primary internal operational contact for assigned engagements, practices, or processes, independently resolving issues within established policies and escalating exceptions with clear analysis and recommended actions.

  • Review time and expense transactions for accurate task usage, contractual rates, and appropriate revenue and cost treatment; coordinate corrections and adjustments as needed.

  • Troubleshoot time-entry issues and follow up on missing time to support complete and timely reporting and billing.

  • Partner with project managers and Finance to support revenue and expense forecasts, investigate variances, and explain operational factors affecting project results.

  • Coordinate routine, month-end, quarter-end, and approved off-cycle invoicing requirements, including special year-end or advance-billing requests.

  • Support resolution of invoice discrepancies and outstanding receivables in collaboration with the responsible internal teams.

  • Represent Operations in project reviews and forecast discussions, communicating risks, unresolved issues, and required actions.

  • Support complex contractual reporting requirements and recurring operational reporting for assigned engagements or practices.

Project Closure and Specialized Administration

  • Review project balances, backlog, and outstanding activity to identify engagements ready for closure.

  • Verify that labor and expenses have been appropriately invoiced, confirm payment status, and coordinate resolution of remaining items before submitting project closure requests.

  • Administer internal and specialized project types in accordance with established procedures.

  • Monitor specialized tax-related project activity and coordinate accurate, timely billing.

  • Track operational support requests, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely resolution and closure.

  • Maintain supporting documentation and identify policy exceptions, control gaps, or operational risks requiring attention.

Process Ownership, Improvement, and Mentoring

  • Own assigned operational processes from end to end, managing recurring activities, dependencies, deadlines, and issue resolution.

  • Proactively identify inefficiencies, recurring errors, and opportunities to simplify and standardize work.

  • Recommend and implement improvements that increase accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational consistency.

  • Use Excel, AI tools, and other available technologies to improve analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency, validating outputs and following applicable Oracle policies.

  • Develop and maintain procedures, job aids, and standard practices.

  • Mentor colleagues, share practical knowledge, and help others build confidence in resolving operational issues.

  • Coordinate process changes with affected teams and communicate requirements, impacts, and expected outcomes.
