Full job description

About Norm Ai Norm Ai, the agentic law company, has a client base with a combined $30 trillion in assets under management.

Norm Ai pioneered Legal Engineering, the process that empowers lawyers to build and supervise domain-specific AI agents with Norm’s proprietary suite of no-code software tools. Norm Ai technology is deployed inside many of the largest and most consequential institutions in the world.

Norm Ai is also the technology behind Norm Law, LLP, a separate but affiliated AI-native law firm built for the era of agentic AI. Norm Law’s attorneys advise leading institutions across private funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, registered funds, and financial regulation, using the same legal intelligence platform that powers Norm Ai’s products.

AI Fluency: Norm Ai prefers all team members to be fluent in AI. Successful candidates actively use AI in their day-to-day work to support thinking, creation, and problem-solving. They use it to improve the quality and speed of their work and to continuously refine how work gets done end-to-end.

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate and discuss their AI usage throughout the interview process, including concrete examples of tools, workflows, and outcomes. We look for practical, hands-on experience, not theoretical familiarity. About Norm Law Norm Law is the first AI-native full-service law firm for global institutional clients like Blackstone (see recent coverage of our Blackstone relationship here: https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/legal-ai-startup-draws-new-50-million-blackstone-investment-opens-law-firm-2025-11-20/). Legal Engineering, a discipline pioneered by Norm Ai, where lawyers develop legal AI agents, powers Norm Law to deliver faster and more consistent legal services. With purpose-built AI agents completing first passes of work, Norm Law lawyers supervise, review, and focus on what matters most: strategic judgment and advice. Norm Law and Norm Ai, together, are building Legal AGI.

This Role Norm Law is building a top AI-native law firm, bringing together attorneys, legal engineers, and software engineers to rethink how legal services are delivered. We are seeking an Operations Manager to work with the Head of Norm Law Operations to help build and manage the processes, systems, and projects that support the firm’s continued growth. As a manager on the Operations team, you will turn business priorities into operational plans and take ownership of execution. You will work closely with law firm partners, attorneys, the Norm Ai engineering teams, and other stakeholders to improve firm operations, support new initiatives, and ensure projects move forward. This role requires sound judgment, strong project management skills, and close attention to detail. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, coordinating across teams, and moving between planning and hands-on execution. You will have the opportunity to help shape how a growing firm operates and build processes that scale with it.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans for firm initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, tracking deadlines and dependencies, and resolving or escalating issues to keep work moving.

  • Identify operational gaps and design, document and implement workflows that improve consistency, efficiency, and accountability across the firm.

  • Coordinate client onboarding, internal approvals, and recordkeeping, working with attorneys and internal teams to create a smooth client experience.

  • Work with the Operations leadership and practice leaders on resourcing, capacity planning, service delivery, and the operational needs of new and growing practice areas.

  • Coordinate technology and vendor rollouts, gather requirements, support adoption, and develop practical guidance for attorneys and staff.

  • Participate actively in meetings with partners and internal teams, synthesize decisions, establish clear owners and next steps, and ensure action items are completed.

  • Take ownership of emerging operational priorities, conduct research, recommend approaches, and carry approved solutions through implementation.

Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complex discussions into clear action.

  • Proven experience managing strategic projects and driving execution in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, from the lowest level to the higher level and in between.

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, thrives when solving tough problems.

  • Independent and high-ownership, able to “get things done” without layers of support staff.
