Full job description

About Krea At Krea, we are building next-generation AI creative tools. We're dedicated to making AI intuitive and controllable for creatives - our mission is to build tools that empower human creativity, not replace it. We believe AI is a new medium that allows us to express ourselves through various formats - text, images, video, sound, and even 3D. We're building better, smarter, and more controllable tools to harness this medium. We recently took this a step forward with the launch of Krea 2, our first foundation model, built completely from scratch for aesthetic diversity and stylistic control, and with Krea 3 - our new image editing model. We've raised over $83M and are backed by world-class investors such as a16z, Bain Capital, and Abstract. We work full-time and in-person at our waterfront office in San Francisco. We care about creativity: our team includes musicians, designers, visual artists, and engineers.

This role We're looking for a Growth Engineer to build the product surfaces and systems that drive how creatives discover, adopt, and pay for Krea. You'll sit on our growth team, working closely with our Head of Growth, product engineers, and designers, and you'll own growth problems end to end: from spotting the opportunity in the data, to shipping the experiment, to measuring the result. This is a hands-on engineering role with real product and business ownership. You'll work primarily in SvelteKit and TypeScript (React experience also fine), with deep use of our event data in ClickHouse and Postgres. Success here is measured in activation, conversion, retention, and revenue, not tickets closed.

What you'll do

  • Own the funnel in code: Build and iterate on signup, onboarding, activation, and upgrade flows so new users reach their first great creation faster and stay.

  • Run experiments at speed: Design, ship, and analyze A/B tests across pricing, paywalls, onboarding, and lifecycle touchpoints, and build the experimentation tooling that lets the whole team move faster.

  • Build growth infrastructure: Own event tracking, attribution, and analytics pipelines (ClickHouse, Postgres) so the growth team can trust its numbers on acquisition, ROAS, and retention.

  • Scale acquisition channels with engineering: Build programmatic SEO/AEO surfaces, shareable and remixable outputs, referral loops, and integrations that turn Krea creations into new users.

  • Power lifecycle and monetization: Ship triggered email and in-product messaging, plan and billing improvements, and usage-based nudges that lift conversion and expansion.

  • Support launches: Partner with product, marketing, and content on our ambitious launch calendar, building landing pages, waitlists, and launch mechanics that hold up under spikes in traffic.

  • Automate with AI: Use AI and agents to build internal tools and workflows that multiply the output of a small, high-leverage growth team.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally including time on a growth, monetization, or activation team at a fast-growing consumer or prosumer product

  • Real, significant Svelte or React experience: this isn't a pure-backend role

  • Strong quantitative instincts: you're comfortable writing SQL, designing experiments, and separating signal from noise in the results

  • A track record of shipping changes that moved a metric, and the ability to explain exactly how and why

  • Comfort owning things end to end, from hypothesis to shipped, measured impact

  • High ownership and speed: you think like a founder and thrive in an ambitious, low-ego culture

  • AI-native: you actively use AI and agents to multiply your output

  • Clear written and verbal communication

  • Taste: a strong, well-developed point of view on what good creative work and good product experiences look like

Nice to have

  • Experience with experimentation platforms, feature flags, product analytics, or attribution tooling

  • Experience with billing and subscription systems (e.g. Stripe)

  • Programmatic SEO or lifecycle marketing infrastructure experience

  • A creative background (design, art, architecture, or similar)

Our stack

  • SvelteKit, TypeScript, Python, Postgres (AWS Aurora), Redis, ClickHouse, Docker, Kubernetes, FluxCD

What we offer

  • Team: Work alongside a world-class team building the future of AI creative tooling

  • Impact: Significant scope and company-wide impact

  • Competitive compensation: generous salary & equity packages

  • Health & wellness: 100% health & 99% dental/vision insurance premiums covered for employees, health FSA accounts, & long-term disability coverage

  • Time off: Flexible PTO policy

  • Financial planning: 401k with a 4% company-sponsored match

  • Meals in the office: breakfast, lunch, dinner - you name it, we'll cover it

  • Transit: Ubers covered to & from the office

  • Sponsorship: We're open to sponsoring international visas where we can (e.g., STEM OPT, OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3).

  • And more!

Please note the above benefits & perks are for full-time employees
