Your Impact

The Lead Analyst-Marketplace Seller Management drives growth for an assigned merchandise division or subdivision by leading work that improves seller performance, expands assortment, and strengthens the customer and seller experience. This role owns a portfolio of strategic sellers while helping shape how the broader subdivision executes against key Marketplace priorities. This position translates data, seller insights, category opportunities, customer insights, and cross-functional inputs into clear action plans. The role leads work across partners, represents the Marketplace seller management perspective in steering committee discussions, and coaches less experienced teammates.

What You Will Do

  • Own the execution of the seller management strategy for an assigned subdivision, with a focus on strategic sellers and high-priority growth opportunities.

  • Lead the development of seller growth plans that improve assortment breadth, gross merchandise value, stock keeping unit productivity, and seller performance and profitability.

  • Manage relationships with assigned sellers and act as a strategic partner by translating marketplace opportunities, performance trends, customer signals, and business priorities into clear action plans.

  • Lead business reviews, performance discussions, and ongoing follow-up with assigned sellers to drive accountability and measurable improvement.

  • Drive Marketplace growth and operational performance within assigned categories by executing against key business and profit and loss targets. Partner cross-functionally with the merchandising team and internal stakeholders to support omnichannel assortment strategies that drive incremental growth, improve category productivity, and contribute to enterprise profitability goals.

  • Identify assortment gaps, item content opportunities, taxonomy and keyword improvements, and operational barriers that impact findability, conversion, and customer experience.

  • Produce and present insights, recommendations, and progress updates to internal stakeholders and sellers, including senior leaders when appropriate.

  • Drive cross-functional execution across business development, onboarding, Marketplace operations, seller support, category, catalog, digital category excellence, fulfillment, and technology teams to remove roadblocks and advance seller priorities.

  • Represent assigned division/subdivision in key forums and steering committees, bringing forward seller insights, category themes, risks, and opportunities that require broader alignment.

  • Help define priorities across the subdivision by identifying patterns, scaling best practices, and helping define what good looks like across seller execution.

  • Coach and mentor less experienced analysts by providing guidance on data analysis, seller communication, prioritization, and marketplace problem solving.

  • Lead continuous improvement of Marketplace Seller Management processes, tools, reporting, and playbooks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, operations, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

  • 7 years of experience in e-commerce, Marketplace, merchandising, account management, brand or product management, business operations, or related area

  • Familiarity with profit and loss concepts, including exposure to revenue, margin, and related business performance metrics

  • Experience managing strategic accounts, seller relationships, or category-focused business performance

  • Experience operating in a high-growth, fast-paced, and strategic business environment
