Full job description

Description:

Amneal is seeking a strategic, policy-fluent government affairs professional to serve as Director, Reimbursement Policy & Government Affairs. The core of this role is developing and executing reimbursement and market access policy strategies spanning Medicare and Medicaid, and the private commercial market. This includes anticipating and influencing legislative and regulatory developments on topics such as drug pricing, payment reform, transparency, and purchasing policies as well as product-specific coverage and payment issues that affect Amneal's commercial success.

This person will translate complex policy developments into actionable business insights, develop substantive policy decisions, lead external advocacy efforts, and help commercial teams navigate those issues with external partners as they arise. Alongside this market access work, the role also leads Amneal's advocacy on discrete, product- and disease-specific issues for the company's growing branded portfolio.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute federal reimbursement, drug pricing, and market access policy strategies aligned with Amneal’s commercial and patient access priorities.

  • Monitor, analyze, and anticipate legislative, regulatory, and reimbursement policy developments, assessing their potential impact on Amneal’s existing portfolio, pipeline, and commercial strategy.

  • Draft substantive market access and branded-medicine policy positions representing Amneal's interests including regulatory comment letters, legislative proposals, policy briefs, and advocacy materials.

  • Lead advocacy on federal and private-market access, reimbursement, and drug pricing policy, including on CMS regulations and rulemaking, drug pricing legislation, and product-specific coverage and payment issues.

  • Lead advocacy on discrete, product- and disease-specific issues for Amneal's branded portfolio (e.g., Parkinson's disease, migraine), including developing engagement strategies and building partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, medical societies, and pharmacy organizations.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Congress, CMS, HHS, and other federal agencies, and represent Amneal in industry trade associations, policy working groups, and coalition meetings.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Legal, and Regulatory teams on market access strategy and policy implications for pipeline planning, product launches, and lifecycle management.

  • Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on reimbursement, coverage, payment, and drug pricing policy, providing strategic guidance to Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Executive Leadership teams.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Represents Amneal in external policy discussions, industry conferences, stakeholder meetings, and coalitions, advancing the company’s positions on reimbursement and branded pharmaceutical policy.
