This role is essential in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Substitute aides assist with classroom activities, provide individualized student support, and help ensure continuity of services across general education and special education settings. ** ** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key Responsibilities ** ** - Support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction, activities, and supervision - Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with special needs - Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by the teacher or intervention specialist - Assist students with daily tasks such as organization, transitions, and engagement in lessons - Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, or during arrival/dismissal - Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment - Follow established lesson plans, behavior plans, and safety protocols - Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administrators - Document student observations or incidents as required ------------------------------------------------------------------------
