Full job description
Provides mental health services within a correctional facility, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessments. Develops and implements treatment plans tailored to inmate needs, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and maintains accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory standards. Conducts screenings for mental health concerns, refers inmates to appropriate services, and participates in case management and discharge planning. Educates staff and inmates about mental health topics, monitors progress, and ensures adherence to ethical and legal guidelines. Responds to emergent situations, assists with suicide prevention and risk assessment, and supports a safe, therapeutic environment.
