Full job description

Company description

Publicis Sapient is a digital transformation partner helping established organizations get to their future, digitally enabled state, both in the way they work and the way they serve their customers. We help unlock value through a start-up mindset and modern methods, fusing strategy, consulting, and customer experience with agile engineering and problem-solving creativity. United by our core values and our purpose of helping people thrive in the brave pursuit of next, our 20,000+ people in 53 offices around the world combine experience across technology, data sciences, consulting, and customer obsession to accelerate our clients’ businesses through designing the products and services their customers truly value.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with strong, hands-on Product Owner skills and Shopify experience to lead the delivery and evolution of customer-facing eCommerce experiences. This role combines discovery, feature definition, prioritization, and roadmap execution with direct ownership of the product backlog and feature delivery. Working closely with Engineering, Experience, QA, and business stakeholders, this individual will translate business and customer needs into clear, executable requirements and own features from concept through production release.

The ideal candidate brings strong digital commerce and Shopify experience and is comfortable operating within a complex enterprise ecosystem where commerce capabilities span multiple platforms and integrations. They connect customer needs and business objectives to prioritized delivery work and remain hands-on in backlog management, solutioning, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint execution, and release readiness. They actively resolve ambiguity and dependencies and drive delivery forward rather than ending their involvement at requirements handoff.

Qualifications

Your Impact

·Own and continuously refine the product backlog, translating business and customer needs into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

·Lead discovery, feature definition, prioritization, and roadmap execution, connecting customer needs and business objectives to clear delivery priorities.

·Work closely with UX and Engineering during solutioning to evaluate approaches, identify trade-offs, and ensure requirements are sufficiently defined before entering development.

·Lead story refinement and support sprint planning, helping the delivery team understand business context, expected outcomes, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

·Partner closely with Engineering and QA throughout development and testing to resolve questions, clarify requirements, and support timely decision-making.

·Own feature delivery from initial definition through development, QA, business validation, and production release, actively resolving open questions and coordinating readiness across teams.

·Identify and actively manage dependencies across commerce capabilities and integrated enterprise systems.

·Support the definition and delivery of end-to-end customer journeys across areas such as product discovery, cart and checkout, customer account, payments, order management, subscriptions, and post-purchase experiences.

·Ensure delivered functionality remains aligned with business objectives, customer experience expectations, and agreed product requirements.

·Facilitate alignment across business, Product, Design, and Technology stakeholders when requirements, priorities, or dependencies need clarification.

·Support release planning and readiness, including validating that acceptance criteria and business requirements have been appropriately addressed.

Your Skills & Experience

·5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar delivery-focused digital product professional, with demonstrated hands-on product ownership experience.

·Hands-on experience supporting commerce platform implementations, migrations, or replatforming initiatives using Shopify Plus.

·Strong experience delivering eCommerce or digital commerce capabilities within a complex or enterprise environment.

·Hands-on experience owning and managing a product backlog, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and leading story refinement.

·Demonstrated ability to break complex customer journeys and business requirements into incremental, executable features and stories.

·Demonstrated experience personally owning feature delivery from concept and requirements definition through development, testing, business validation, and production release, collaborating directly with Engineering, UX/Design, QA, and Product Management throughout the product delivery lifecycle.

·Strong working knowledge of Agile product delivery practices, including Scrum and/or Kanban.

·Ability to understand integrations and dependencies between Shopify and supporting enterprise systems without needing to serve as the technical architect.

·Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate requirements, decisions, dependencies, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·Comfortable operating within a large, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Nice to Have

·Experience with Shopify Plus in a large-scale or enterprise commerce environment.

·Experience with subscription or recurring-purchase commerce models.

·Experience delivering capabilities across customer account, product discovery, cart, checkout, payments, order management, promotions, fulfillment, or post-purchase experiences.

·Familiarity with enterprise commerce integrations across areas such as CMS, identity, payments, CRM, order management, fulfillment, and customer data.

·Experience working with modern CMS platforms such as Contentful.

·Experience within consumer retail, CPG, or direct-to-consumer commerce environments.

Core Skills & Attributes

·Hands-on product ownership: Combines product direction and prioritization with direct ownership of requirements, stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and delivery.

·Commerce-minded: Understands how customer experience, business rules, platform capabilities, and operational processes come together across an eCommerce journey.

·Strong collaborator: Able to work effectively across Product, Design, Engineering, QA, business, and technology stakeholders.

·Solution-oriented: Actively contributes to solution discussions rather than simply documenting decisions or requirements provided by others.

·Customer and outcome focused: Able to connect individual stories and features to the broader customer journey and intended business outcome.

·Comfortable with ambiguity: Able to identify gaps, ask the right questions, work through trade-offs, and drive requirements toward clarity.

·Self-starter and self-motivated: Takes initiative, identifies next steps, and independently drives work forward with minimal direction while keeping stakeholders aligned.

·Execution focused: Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to maintain delivery momentum while balancing competing priorities.

·Clear communicator: Able to translate between business needs and delivery requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
