Systems Architect

Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's ECOSphere platform. This role will be responsible for designing scalable cloud-based and distributed systems, guiding enterprise architecture decisions, supporting application integrations, and ensuring security and compliance standards are embedded throughout the technology lifecycle. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud architectures Strong AWS cloud experience Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and/or React Expertise with REST APIs and system integrations Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements SQL and database architecture experience Preferred Qualifications: Kubernetes experience Databricks or large-scale analytics platform experience Federal security framework experience (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST) Data governance and data-sharing experience Experience working within scientific, regulatory, or government environments AI/ML tools and emerging technology experience This position offers the opportunity to help architect and modernize a mission-critical federal platform supporting conservation and wildlife programs while working with cutting-edge cloud, integration, and security technologies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $59.00/hr.
