Full job description

This position is located at our Business Office and will be responsible for processes for two clinic locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, the Patient Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing accounts in collaboration with the Patient Financial Counselors as required.

  • Ensures all insurance, demographics, and patient assistance programs are obtained and entered into the system in an accurate manner.

  • Submit claims and payment requests in a timely manner, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and noted in required systems.

  • Follow up on pending assistance applications, claims, and payments.

  • Knowledge of patient assistance program requirements.

  • Demonstrates an understanding for patient confidentiality to protect the patient and the clinic/corporation.

  • Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the practice.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to sort and files materials correctly by alphabetic and numeric systems.

  • General knowledge of medical terminology.
