Imports Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Imports F&I Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing vehicle sales, arranging financing, presenting product offerings, and protecting dealership profitability while providing top-tier customer service. You will act as a pivotal bridge between our sales department, general office, and lending institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Secure each deal and ensure proper delivery. Generate additional income by offering vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, and maintenance plans. Convert cash transactions to finance options where beneficial.

  • Lender & Financial Relations: Establish and manage relationships with various financial institutions, including manufacturer sources and alternative finance outlets. Process loan and lease packages accurately and efficiently to secure timely approvals.

  • Compliance & Paperwork Management: Maintain total control over deal documentation, ensuring 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review all paperwork for accurate title, lien, tax, and insurance details before transferring to accounting.

  • Department & Sales Collaboration: Train and inform the sales team and sales managers on current lease/finance programs, insurance, and service contract benefits. Work closely with sales managers to maximize per-unit profit and meet penetration goals.

  • Customer Service & Ethics: Deliver transparent, professional, and empathetic service to every customer. Clearly explain dealership policies, service procedures, and coverage details to maximize customer satisfaction.

  • Administration & Reporting: Conduct credit applications, rate quotations, and insurance file maintenance. Prepare regular reports on finance penetration, maintain contract inventory, and manage designated departmental backup training.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and meet company motor vehicle record standards

  • Professional Standards: High ethical standards, professional appearance, and a clean work environment.

  • Communication & Teamwork: Exceptional communication skills to build collaborative relationships with customers, sales personnel, and the general office.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive finance, aftermarket products, and federal/state auto sales regulations.
