Responsibilities

The Fraud Detection National Security (FDNS) Clerk is a permanent, full-time position supporting the overall mission of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by facilitating the operations of a local Field Office. As an FDNS Clerk, your responsibilities would include:

• File storage, file movement, maintenance, interfiling, consolidations, audits and searches and respond to file requests,

• Filing copies of naturalization certificates and notices/close out citizenship ceremonies,

• Supporting the processing of forms/applications used in the adjudication process, which may include the use of electronic systems,

• Creating electronic records for new files and records in accordance with USCIS regulations and deadlines,

• Providing responses to USCIS to special inquiries, file extractions, conformance audits, and data-file reconciliation efforts,

• Entering, modifying, updating, and correcting information from DHS source documents into the FDNS-DS,

• Scanning large multi-page documents,

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services

• Ability to read, understand and communicate proficiently in English

• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment

• Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
