Full job description

Description

The Department of Engineering and Public Policy seeks a candidate whose research, teaching, and service has prepared them to contribute to our department’s mission to conduct rigorous, impactful research at the interface of engineering and public policy, educate the next generation of engineers and decision-makers, and inform decisions on critical sociotechnical challenges.

The research faculty member role in the Department will pursue, manage, and develop research programs and activities that are fully supported from sources external to the university and that contribute to goals of the Department and Carnegie Mellon University.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have experience as a post-doctoral researcher, research scientist, or engineer, with research involving the frameworks, data, and analytical tools needed to evaluate critical technologies. Applicants for this position should have an earned PhD in engineering or related field.
