Lending Coordinator – Contract-to-Hire | Carmel, IN
We’re hiring a Lending Coordinator on behalf of our client, a financial services organization in Carmel, Indiana. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in lending, credit, or financial operations while gaining hands-on experience with a collaborative team.
The position will begin fully onsite for training and team integration, with eligibility for one remote day per week once hired into a regular position. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys keeping multiple priorities moving in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do

Coordinate lending and credit applications, ensuring information is complete and accurate.

Gather, review, and organize documentation needed to move applications through the approval process.

Manage shared queues and email workflows, proactively following up on outstanding items.

Keep applicants, internal teams, and business partners updated on application status and next steps.

Maintain accurate customer, loan, and account information within internal systems.

Prepare lending and compliance documentation and provide administrative support throughout the process.

Track priorities, troubleshoot routine issues, and help keep applications moving efficiently.

Partner with teammates and provide additional operational support as needed.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1+ year of experience in banking, lending, financial services, accounting, administrative support, or a related field preferred.

Previous exposure to loan administration, lending operations, or back-office financial processes is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

Basic understanding of financial statements or business documentation is helpful.

Bilingual skills are a plus.
