Business Development and Community Engagement Director

The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients, existing clients, local businesses, professional organizations, and community leaders; generating referrals and introductions; identifying and pursuing new business opportunities; and representing the team through networking, community involvement, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate client and community outreach

• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and professional contacts

• Cultivate referral relationships

• Support marketing and business development initiatives that drive new client acquisition, strengthen community presence, and contribute to the team’s long-term growth

• Strong understanding of advisory team and market strategy.

• Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures and industry rules and regulations.

• Effective questioning and listening techniques.

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.

• Ability to multi-task effectively and leverage internal resources.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups.

• Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• 5 years of financial services industry service experience, or an equivalent amount of experience, education, or training required.

Formal Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Status:

• Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None.

Travel:

• 0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.

Working Conditions:

• Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
