Leadership Responsibilities
-
Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
-
Set QA compliance objectives and ensure targets are achieved.
-
Maintain awareness of business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
-
Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training to employees.
-
Bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate, and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.

Influence team members to adopt a quality mindset and practice in everything we do.
Service and Suppliers
-
Assess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and compare with customer and industry requirements.

Work with purchasing and sourcing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers and auditors to ensure the execution of non-conformance management, corrective action, and compliance with customer specifications.

Establish standards of service for customers or clients.
Testing and Evaluating
-
Ensure compliance with national, international standards, legislation and associated regulatory requirements.

Consider the application of environmental, health, and safety standards.

Establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.

Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.

Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated.

Oversee and investigate product modifications, if they are necessary and viable.

Supervise technical staff in carrying out inspections, testing and disposition of reworked products.
Maintaining Documentation, Analyzing Data, and Writing Reports
-
Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
-
Collect and analyze performance data charts against defined goals and taking action as necessary.
-
Write technical and management systems reports.
-
Prepare clear explanatory documents, such as customer QA requirements and associated industry specific regulatory requirements.

Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
What You Need to be Successful
-
5+ years experience managing a team and departmental budgets, overseeing performance, attendance, development, and resource allocation.

Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

7-10 years of progressive quality experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Ability to manage quality operations across multiple locations with travel required.

In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001

Ability to set compliance objectives, manage budgets, and promote performance improvement
-
Ability to drive cross-disciplinary teams to adopt new quality procedures and "methods of working"

Acting as the primary link between customers, suppliers, and auditors for corrective actions

High level of competency in collecting performance data, creating reports, and presenting to stakeholders
-
High degree of integrity, self-motivation, and discipline to handle sensitive regulatory requirements
