Position Summary:

We are looking for a versatile professional drone pilot to join our team in a dual-purpose role combining hands-on drone piloting with day-to-day office operations. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety in their work — spending part of the week flying missions in the field and the rest keeping our office running smoothly.

Essential Functions:

This role has two distinct sets of duties:

Drone Operations:

  • Plan, prepare, and execute drone flights for aerial photography, mapping, surveying, and/or inspection work

  • Travel to field locations to conduct flight operations; approximately 7 to 9 overnights per month.

  • Conduct pre-flight equipment checks, calibration, and post-flight maintenance

  • Ensure all flights comply with FAA regulations and company safety protocols

  • Process and organize flight data, imagery, and mapping outputs for internal and client use

  • Maintain accurate flight logs and equipment records

  • Keep drone equipment, batteries, and accessories inventoried and in good working order

Office Operations:

  • Manage scheduling, correspondence, and filing

  • Order supplies, coordinate with vendors, and maintain office equipment

  • Help manage interactions with customers; handle incoming calls and emails

  • Perform data entry and support invoicing to customers

  • Assist with onboarding logistics, meeting coordination, and general team support

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required

  • At least one year of experience piloting drones for commercial purposes (photography, mapping, surveying, or inspections)

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing administrative tasks

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to multitask and shift comfortably between fieldwork and office duties

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for on-site flight assignments)

  • Experience with drone mapping/photogrammetry software (e.g., DroneDeploy, Pix4D)

  • Prior office administration or operations experience

  • Basic photo/video editing skills

  • Ability to pass and maintain a current DOT physical

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Comfort workout outdoors year-round in cold and hot conditions

  • OSHA 10 Certification

Benefits:

  • Paid holidays

  • Paid time off

  • Health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employee Assistance Program

  • 401(k) plan with employer match

  • Prescription eyewear coverage

  • Annual boot allowance

  • Employee referral program!
