Retirement Benefits Customer Support Specialist
Pay: $17.50 – Please note this pay rate may be below your state’s minimum wage. Please take this into consideration when applying.
Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
No weekends required!
Some overtime may be required based on business needs.
About the Retirement Benefits Customer Support Specialist Role:
As a valued member of the Retirement Administration Team, you are the trusted guide for individuals navigating the complexities of retirement. From explaining benefits to assisting with paperwork, you ensure that every retiree feels confident and supported as they transition into this new chapter of their lives.
Precision is your middle name. You meticulously manage and process retirement cases, ensuring that every detail is accurate and every deadline is met. Your attention to detail guarantees that retirees receive their benefits smoothly and on time.
You communicate with empathy and clarity, providing compassionate guidance that helps retirees feel supported, informed, and understood.
Key duties

Assist participants with retirement and pension benefit questions

Explain benefit information, required documentation, and next steps

Manage and process retirement cases accurately and within established timelines

Review retirement documentation for completeness and accuracy

Respond to participant inquiries through phone calls, team chats, and emails
-
Navigate multiple systems while maintaining accurate case information
-
Follow established procedures and meet required deadlines
-
Collaborate with team members to support timely and accurate case resolution
Requirements:
We’re seeking individuals with a heart for service, a calm presence, and a passion for providing thoughtful support. To be successful in this role, you should have:

Previous customer service and/or call center experience
-
Experience supporting employee benefits or working in pension benefits
-
Preferred: Background in health and welfare benefits or similar support roles
-
Empathy and emotional intelligence when engaging with others
-
Keyboarding and Microsoft Office proficiency
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
The ability to multi-task, stay organized, and solve problems efficiently

A professional demeanor with the ability to maintain focus in emotionally charged situations

A high school diploma or GED
-
Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required for this position, which includes education and previous employment verification (you may be asked to provide proof of each).

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $31,920 - $39,900.
