Full job description

Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Austin, TX

  • Facility: Seton Health Center - Lamar

  • Department: Women's Health - Maternal Fetal Medicine

  • Schedule: Days | Full-time | Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Perform high-complexity fetal ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetric patients under the direct supervision of MFM physicians to ensure clinical excellence.

  • Conduct comprehensive first-trimester screenings and Level II anatomy scans to detect chromosomal anomalies and structural fetal development concerns.

  • Deliver specialized fetal echocardiography and biophysical profiles while maintaining accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Assist MFM specialists during invasive diagnostic procedures including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling to provide expert ultrasound guidance.

  • Communicate critical ultrasound findings and examination reports to the interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality patient care and outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Credentialed in Fetal Echocardiography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Medical Sonographer specializing in Fetal Echocardiography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Medical Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
