Job Duties

HealthPartners is hiring a Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to build and lead a newly established enterprise-wide FP&A function. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, this leader will serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO and senior leadership, bringing together financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and insights across our integrated health system.

The Vice President will lead the consolidation of enterprise financial plans and forecasts, strengthen financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities, and translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and long-term organizational sustainability. Working across care delivery, health plan, finance, accounting, and shared services, this role will provide an enterprise-wide view of financial performance and help leaders evaluate opportunities, allocate resources, and align financial strategy with organizational priorities.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new capability rather than step into an established model. The Vice President will have significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence how financial insights inform enterprise decisions. The role will lead a team that includes a Director and two Managers, with overall leadership responsibility for a department of approximately 15 employees.

At HealthPartners, this work connects to a larger purpose: health as it could be, affordability as it must be, and relationships built on trust. For a leader who wants to combine financial expertise, enterprise partnership, and meaningful organizational impact, this is an opportunity to help build something new while contributing to decisions that move health forward.

Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, and core finance practices.

Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders in complex organizational environments.

Advanced knowledge of budgeting systems, financial reporting tools, and related financial technologies.
