Introduction

We power the backend of a cloud-based sales enablement platform used by IBM’s global sales force to market and sell IBM Power Systems hardware, software, storage, and services. Our team ensures seamless product configuration, accurate pricing, and flawless manufacturing fulfillment by maintaining and enhancing several mission-critical applications. We’re looking for a passionate Software Engineer to help us build robust, scalable systems that directly impact IBM’s business success.

Your role and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend logic that drives marketing and product configuration rules across sales and manufacturing systems.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues spanning multiple integrated applications and services.

• Analyze and process intricate product data sets to ensure alignment with IBM’s engineering and marketing standards.

• Translate detailed specification documents of infrastructure into clean, efficient code and data models supporting sales and manufacturing configurator.

• Enhance and maintain DevOps automation tools primarily written in CML, Java/Python, and other modern technologies.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in Python/ Java, with a strong foundation in backend application development.

• Proven ability to handle complex, detail-oriented tasks with precision and accountability.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to manage priorities, deliver high-quality results under deadlines, and continuously improve existing processes.
