Description

Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex programs and proven experience leading cross-functional product and technology initiatives. This role will own strategic and tactical programs spanning multiple organizations, business functions, and technology teams.

The Senior Program Manager will build and own a suite of data models that support vehicle lifecycle decisions for Last Mile Fleet Maintenance and Repair, along with planning-cycle forecasts for more than $800MM in OpEx across 100K vehicles in North America. The role will also develop and apply analytical models to identify outliers, anomalies, and potential risks, improving operational efficiency, financial controllership, and accountability across Amazon’s fleet operations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build and own vehicle lifecycle data models that determine whether vehicles should remain in operation, be hibernated, or be retired.

  • Establish forecasting mechanisms for planning-cycle operating costs in partnership with Finance.

  • Use advanced analytics and AI to identify trends, measure performance, detect risks, and prioritize areas for improvement.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that address systemic challenges and align near-term execution with long-term business objectives.

  • Communicate recommendations, risks, and progress to senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support timely decision-making.

  • Develop and oversee KPI reporting across the program portfolio, providing clear visibility into milestones, financial performance, risks, and delivery status.

A day in the life

This leader will work with all stakeholders in the Last Mile Fleet Team, Fleet Management Companies, Delivery Service Providers, third-party service providers, and internal stakeholders to manage all leadership escalations and drive new initiatives to continuously improve the customer experience.

This position requires experience in strong data analytics, product/program management skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, process improvement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

About the team

Amazon Logistics’ mission is to provide the best last mile customer experience delivering each package to the customer’s doorstep through a choice of innovative delivery options. To provide this customer experience, Amazon Logistics works closely with Last Mile Delivery Service Partners who operate and manage a fleet of vehicles and drivers. Fleet maintenance is a significant “area of opportunity”, as current options are often inefficient, ineffective, and more expensive than they should be. To mitigate these challenges, we are developing and launching transformative programs to ease the burden of fleet maintenance on our Delivery Service Providers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general AI tools

  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
