Full job description
Insurance plays an important role in people’s lives, providing protection and peace of mind through life’s adventures and unexpected turns. In the moments that matter, people want to know their insurer is there for them. At Hi Marley, we help insurers deliver on that promise through communication that brings greater clarity and connection to the policyholder experience.
About the role You'll be the person who knows how our customers really use Hi Marley, and who turns that knowledge into better decisions across the company. You'll join a growing Analytics team with shared standards, tools, and a career path, and partner most closely with Product and Customer Success on a modern data stack (Redshift, dbt, and Dagster). This isn't a reporting queue. You'll take a business question from the first conversation to an answer, and sometimes present that answer straight to a customer. If an ambiguous question and a fresh dataset sound like a good afternoon, you'll love this role. Teamwork and shared enthusiasm are a core part of our culture, which is why this role involves joining us in the Boston office for 3 days each week. What you'll do
- Become our go-to expert on how customers use Hi Marley, and help teams across the company act on what you learn
- Partner with Product to define success metrics for new and existing features, then analyze adoption and funnels and recommend what's next
- Measure customer pilots and utilization with Customer Success and Growth, and present the readouts directly to customers to prove value
- Move the reporting our customer team relies on to self-serve on one trusted set of metrics, and give Data Engineering clear requirements so your analyses become governed data models
About you
- You have 7+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ in analytics or data analysis, with strong SQL and a modern BI tool like Looker
- You have a track record of defining metrics tied to real business decisions, using data to change minds, and partnering with data engineers on how data is modeled
- You can explain what the data means to a customer or an executive in plain language, and you raise hard news, like a data-quality issue, with a path forward
Nice to have
- Experience at a B2B SaaS or other growth-stage company
- Product analytics experience, including feature usage, funnels, and A/B tests
- Hands-on work with a cloud data warehouse (Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery), dbt, Python, or an orchestrator like Dagster or Airflow
Don't check every box? If this role excites you, we'd still love to hear from you. Compensation, Benefits & Perks: At Hi Marley, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall within the range of [$111,300 - $170,500], depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Offers are determined based on these factors as well as internal peer equity. It’s most common for new hires to start near the midpoint of the range, allowing room for growth as employees develop in their role. In addition to base pay, we support your wellbeing and growth with:
- Equity grants for all employees
- 401(k) with a 4% employer match
- Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance for employees working 30+ hours per week
- Monthly wellness and annual professional development stipends
- Paid parental leave
- Flexible Time Off to recharge, plus enjoy Wind-down Week, our annual year-end company shutdown

- Max Courage: Dream big, try new ideas, and take measured risks to maximize impact.
- Be Humble: Lead with appreciation, compassion, and openness to learn from anyone, anywhere.
- Ubuntu: Align behind a shared purpose to achieve our fullest potential together.
