Job Title: Senior Product Management Consultant
Location: New York City (Hybrid: 3 days in office)
Our client is an established, profitable, global management consulting and technology firm that partners with enterprise companies across regulated industries with heavy compliance requirements like Life Sciences, MedTech, and Healthcare. They focus on building products based on evidence and powered by technology, including enterprise platforms, agents driven by AI, and custom CRM configurations that deliver transformative outcomes for patients and consumers. The environment is deeply collaborative and heavily focused on tackling massive, complex enterprise challenges rather than building lightweight consumer mobile apps.
As a Senior Product Management Consultant , you will sit within the NYC innovation team alongside designers and product innovators, focusing heavily on "upstream" product management. Meaning you will spearhead early-stage product incubation, idea exploration, and design thinking to define complex solutions long before the build phase. You will act as a hands-on practitioner and critical thinker, leading discovery workshops, aligning multiple stakeholders, and navigating technical depth in regulated environments to craft compelling product strategies.
Requirements
-
10+ years of product management experience, with a strong background in management consulting (e.g., Deloitte, PwC) or large-scale enterprise technology.
-
Deep expertise in "upstream" product management, specifically product incubation, idea exploration, and design thinking methodologies.
-
Proven track record of building and delivering complex, large-scale enterprise solutions rather than lightweight or consumer-facing mobile apps.
-
Experience navigating regulated, compliance-heavy environments (Life Sciences, MedTech, or Healthcare experience)
-
Technical depth and a solid understanding of AI and logic algorithms, with the ability to clearly articulate and validate how they solve deep enterprise problems without relying entirely on AI to do the thinking.
-
Exceptional client-facing communication skills; you must be highly capable of coaching clients, managing stakeholder expectations, and presenting case studies.
-
MBA or Master's degree is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
-
Spearhead early-stage product exploration, connecting the dots between client needs and technical possibilities to define the overarching product vision.
-
Design and facilitate innovation and discovery workshops to uncover requirements, align diverse stakeholders, and map out complex business processes.
-
Translate ambiguous enterprise problems into clear product specifications, user stories, and data flow diagrams.
-
Act as the primary advocate for the client, driving user-centric design while actively coaching and teaching them through the digital product lifecycle.
-
Apply hands-on critical thinking to integrate AI and logic algorithms into enterprise solutions, ensuring they drive measurable business outcomes.
-
Mentor team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of product management methodologies across the innovation practice.
