Openings are available in Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Urgent Care. In this role, you will partner with providers and care teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated care and help patients and families feel informed and supported throughout their health care journey.

Role Details:

RN Clinic

The RN Clinic supports providers in delivering primary and specialty care by applying the nursing process, obtaining vital signs and health histories, preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures, and administering medications and immunizations within licensure guidelines. The role coordinates referrals, forms, authorizations, follow-up appointments, laboratory testing, and procedures while providing patient and family education that promotes understanding, adherence, and effective self-care.

Responsibilities

  • Apply the nursing process to support providers in the delivery of primary and specialty health care.

  • Obtain and document vital signs and health histories, and prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.

  • Administer medications and immunizations in accordance with licensure guidelines, provider orders, and organizational policies.

  • Coordinate referrals, required forms, prior authorizations, follow-up appointments, laboratory tests, and procedures.

  • Maintain tracking systems and monitor follow-up needs to support continuity of care and disease management.

  • Provide patient and family education, answer questions, and reinforce treatment plans to promote understanding, adherence, and effective self-care.

  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

RN Clinic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Iowa or a current license recognized under the Nurse Licensure Compact.

  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

  • Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, and care coordination skills.

  • Clinic or ambulatory care experience is preferred; specialty-specific experience may be preferred depending on the opening.
