Job Summary
Under direction utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to identify and assess suspicious activity, intelligence, and security incidents at company facilities and assets.
Works with more experienced analyst to perform structured analysis of energy-related, event data, to determine threats, vulnerabilities, trends, and impacts to energy infrastructure.
Monitors security and crime trends at company locations, and throughout the energy industry. Documents research and analysis in written reports.
Assists with oral intelligence briefings on incidents and threats impacting energy infrastructure.
Assists with conducting open-source research, and assesses incoming threat streams, to develop accurate conclusions and appropriate recommendations for security response.
Monitors and shares threat alerts, warnings, and advisories with key internal and external stakeholders.
Communicates regularly with other energy analysts, government fusion centers, law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, and regulatory agencies, sharing information on physical threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and potential protective measures.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Intelligence analysis experience or education preferred preferred, or experience or education in corporate security, intelligence, law enforcement, or regulatory agency or organization.

Knowledge of security issues and critical infrastructure protection with an energy company.

Knowledge of research methodology and analytic techniques.

Demonstrated understanding of security concepts and sophisticated security technologies.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, to provide in-person intelligence briefings to internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated, sound security leadership, decision-making, and critical thinking.

Ability to monitor, assess, and report on security incidents.

Ability to conduct detailed, threat analyses.

Ability to report to internal and external stakeholders, using the appropriate degree of urgency.

Ability to manage the flow of sensitive, intelligence information.

Ability to understand the assessment of security risks.

Ability to work independently, and to achieve results with little supervision.

Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance, as required.
Education Requirements

Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree and majoring in Emergency Management, Data Analytics, Economics, International Affairs, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or related security background

Must have an anticipated graduation date in the fall of 2028 to the fall of 2029

Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Hourly Rate:
$26.00 - $28.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
