Position Description The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This position focuses on technical leadership, strategy, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for operational excellence and mentoring. Key Responsibilities Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, strategy, and tooling to improve production efficiency and product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff. Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Support new product introductions by providing design for manufacturing feedback to design engineering and then developing and validating manufacturing processes. Create and maintain process documentation including standard work, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Participate in capital equipment selection and justification.
