To take raw materials and sew into finished products according to customer specifications. To maintain the work area and equipment that is used to perform these duties. Responsibilities Must log in using the bar code system before department start time daily. Responsible for logging out at end of shift and lunch. Responsible for checking time card accuracy. Bar code each step of all work orders for accurate accounting of time spent on job. Verify material(s) pulled to produce work order. Sew cut material(s), webbing, or other specified materials according to work order specifications. Measure and cut down to finish measurements according to work order specifications after joining. Put grommets as required by work order specifications. Tag product after finishing according to procedures. Materials handling. Maintain and clean work area. Maintain and clean equipment used. Observe daily and weekly preventative maintenance and overall functions of equipment used. Report any equipment malfunction to the department supervisor or lead person. Return completed work orders to department supervisor or lead person. Be able to work for an unspecified amount of time at any operation other than sewing. Responsible for checking quality and quantity of work order being produced. Responsible for care of issued and/or department tools and for replacement of tools due to loss or damage due to misuse. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent work experience. Skills, Knowledge And Abilities: Knowledge of industrial sewing machines. Ability to use a measuring tape and scissors.
