Full job description

Job Duties

We are seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer to support the development and validation of a Class III medical devices, specifically. This role will partner with Human Factors, Systems Engineering, and cross-functional teams to conduct formative, pre-summative, and validation studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute human factors/usability studies.

  • Author study protocols and maintain use-related risk traceability.

  • Coordinate study logistics and participant recruitment with research operations.

  • Moderate formative and summative usability studies.

  • Analyze usability data and provide design recommendations.

  • Author study reports and validation documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve user experience and safety.

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Experience Required

Required Skills

  • Human Factors validation study design and execution (moderator experience required).

  • Use-Related Risk Analysis (URRA) authoring and maintenance.

  • Usability data analysis and technical report writing.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of Human Factors Engineering experience, preferably within medical devices.

  • Strong experience with usability testing, risk analysis, and regulatory documentation.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred: Experience supporting Class II/III medical devices and familiarity with FDA Human Factors guidance.
