The Department of Economics in Arts & Science invites applications for a tenured position to begin September 1, 2027, subject to administrative and budgetary approval.
Candidates must have outstanding research records. The search is open to all fields of economics. All candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
All materials must be received by December 31, 2026. Candidates should submit curriculum vita, statement of research, and one or more recent papers.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is a minimum of $200,000 at the rank of Associate Professor and a minimum of $250,000 at the rank of full Professor. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
