Full job description

Full Time

Minneapolis-HQ, Minneapolis, MN, US

Requisition ID: 3729

Salary Range: $156,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually

Job Purpose

Lead the Operations Finance Center of Excellence, producing once, centrally, the standard finance reporting, templates and tools used across the plant network, so that Plant Controllers and Regional Finance Operations Controllers can focus on analysis, partnership and action. Bring consistency, data quality, automation and financial rigor to Operations Finance and to the Rise Recipe continuous improvement program.

Essential Functions

  • Standard Reporting & Network Data

  • Produce and publish the standard network reporting for every plant, including the weekly scorecard finance metrics (material usage and labor variance), the standard plant P&L package by working day 3, and the data packs for the monthly plant performance review (WD11), Pod Review and Steerco

  • Provide the quarterly cost-roll and annual operating plan (OPC) templates, tools and data used by Plant Controllers

  • Keep LaunchPAD as the single source of plant data; partner with Finance, BI and systems teams to improve data quality, consistency and automation, and retire reports that duplicate LaunchPAD

  • Maintain the cross-plant benchmark dataset and definitions used by the Regional Finance Operations Controllers for their analysis

  • Develop new or plant-specific reporting where needed and transition it to the appropriate Plant or Regional Controller once stable; standard network reporting stays with the Center of Excellence

  • Standardization, Coordination & Automation

  • Develop and maintain standardized Operations Finance processes, close calendar, templates and tools across the plant network

  • Coordinate network-wide Operations Finance processes, including the annual operating plan, forecast consolidation, and audit and CapEx coordination

  • Track actions and commitments from the monthly plant performance review, Pod Review and Steerco, and follow up with owners

  • Identify and deliver automation of recurring reporting and data processes, reducing manual work across the Controller organization

  • Share and drive adoption of best practices across Plant and Regional Controllers, and onboard new Controllers on standard reports and tools

  • Rise Recipe & Network Analysis

  • Own the finance methodology for Rise Recipe savings, ensuring savings are real, tracked, validated with Plant Controllers and not counted twice

  • Support productivity and continuous improvement initiatives through project costing, benefit measurement and reporting, partnering with the CI Director and CI Managers

  • Maintain data governance for product and customer profitability in Rise Business Insights

  • Perform network-level financial and operational analysis for the VP, Operations Finance, identifying trends, outliers and opportunities across plants

  • Prepare clear, concise financial analyses and presentations for Operations and Finance leadership

  • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including meaningful manufacturing or operations finance experience

  • Food manufacturing, consumer products, or process-manufacturing experience required

  • Strong cost accounting knowledge, including standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis (material usage, labor, overhead)

  • Demonstrated experience standardizing reporting, improving processes, or leading cross-functional finance initiatives

  • Strong ability to extract, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources and turn it into actionable insights

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities; SAP or comparable manufacturing ERP and BI / reporting tool experience preferred

  • Experience with reporting automation, RPA or AI tools, and Lean or continuous improvement initiatives preferred

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, influence across functions and levels, and drive follow-through
